Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Assam CEE 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality & Domicile: Must be an Indian citizen and a Permanent Resident of Assam (valid PRC required).
Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) exam in a single sitting without grace marks.
Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English individually (both Theory and Practical).- Minimum Marks: 45% for General category and 40% for Reserved categories in PCM subjects.
- Age Limit: Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026. There is no upper age limit.
- Health & Character: Candidates must be physically and mentally fit and possess good moral character.
Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The exam will follow the syllabus of the Assam State School Education Board (Division-II). It consists of a single paper featuring 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

- Marking Scheme: +4 for every correct answer; -1 for every wrong answer.
