Eligibility Criteria for SLET/SET 2026
To be eligible to appear for the SLET 2026, candidates must fulfill the following requirements regarding their Master's degree:
- General/Unreserved/General-EWS Candidates: Must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Master's Degree or equivalent examination from a UGC-recognized university/institution.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC/ST, PWD Categories: Must have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in their Master's Degree or equivalent examination.
Appearing Candidates:
Candidates who are in the final year (appearing/awaiting result) of their qualifying Master's degree examination may also apply provisionally. However, they must obtain the required percentage of marks within two years from the date of the concerned SLET result, failing which they will be treated as disqualified.
Other Criteria:
- Subject: Candidates are eligible to appear only in the subject of their Post-graduation.
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for the SLET Examination.
- Chances: A candidate can avail any number of chances.
SLET Exam Pattern 2026 (Paper I & II)

How to Apply Online for SLET 2026
Interested and eligible candidates must apply online through the official portal:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the application portal (usually linked from
sletneonline.org). - Registration: Complete the initial registration and note down the generated unique Application ID for future reference.
- Upload Documents: Prepare and upload scanned copies of your certificates, passport-sized colour photograph, and signature. Ensure the scanned photo and signature are within the prescribed size (typically 5kb to 50kb).
- Fee Payment: After submitting the application, a bank Challan will be generated. Candidates must download and print the Challan and visit an SBI bank branch (typically two days after submission) to pay the fee.
- Final Submission: Print the Acknowledgment Slip for your records once the process is complete. Note that once the form is finally submitted, no edits can be made.
