Salary and Benefits
Being an LRA comes with a respectable pay structure and the security of a government job.
- Pay Scale: PB-2 (Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 70,000)
- Grade Pay: Rs. 6,200
- Allowances: Standard dearness, medical, and house rent allowances as per Assam Government rules.
Eligibility Criteria: Do You Qualify?
Educational & Professional QualificationAcademic: Must have passed HSLC (10th standard) or equivalent.
Mandatory Training: You must have successfully completed the 6-month Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Surveys and Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon.
Note: Candidates from Sixth Schedule areas are generally governed by different rules.
Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in IT and a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in Assamese or Bengali.

Selection Process: How to Get Hired
- Written Examination (80 Marks): A MCQ-based test covering Mathematics (10 marks), Conventional Survey (50 marks), and Modern Survey (20 marks). Watch out for the 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers!
- Skill Test (20 Marks): A practical test focusing on Unicode typing (Assamese/Bengali) and basic computer operations
