Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the minimum educational qualification specified for each post. This generally includes 10th pass, 12th pass, or a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized board/university, depending on the post.
- Age Limit (as on August 1, 2025): The minimum age limit is generally 18 years. The maximum age limit varies by post, typically ranging from 25 to 30 years, with some posts having higher limits. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen) as per government rules.
- Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of India, or subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intent of permanent settlement, or persons of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries with the intent of permanent settlement in India.

Selection Process:
The selection process for SSC Selection Post Phase XIII involves the following stages:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE):
- Separate CBEs will be conducted for Matriculation, Higher Secondary (10+2), and Graduation & above levels.
- The exam will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions for a total of 200 marks.
- The duration of the exam is 60 minutes (80 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe).
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.
- The four sections in the exam are General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language, each with 25 questions worth 50 marks.
- Skill Tests (if applicable):
- For posts where prescribed in the Essential Qualification (e.g., Typing/Data Entry/Computer Proficiency Test), skill tests will be conducted. These are generally qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification (DV):
- Candidates who qualify the CBE (and skill test, if applicable) will be called for document verification. This involves verifying original and self-attested copies of essential documents like birth certificate, matric certificate, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, etc.
