Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have passed 10th Standard (Matriculation) OR possess an ITI certificate from a recognized institute.
  • National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) holders are also eligible.
  • Note: Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.

2. Age Limit (as of January 1, 2026):

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 33 Years (for General/EWS)
  • Age relaxation is applicable for OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), and other reserved categories as per government norms.

Application Fee

  • General / EWS / OBC-NCL: ₹500 (₹400 refundable after appearing in CBT)
  • SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Female / Minorities: ₹250 (Full ₹250 refundable after appearing in CBT)

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in four successive stages:

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT): A 90-minute exam featuring 100 questions on General Science, Mathematics, Reasoning, and General Awareness.
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Mandatory qualifying test involving weight carrying and running (standards vary for male and female candidates).
  • Document Verification (DV): Verification of original certificates.
  • Medical Examination: Final health assessment by Railway Medical Authorities.
