Objectives: Why CM Jibon Prerana Scheme Was Launched

The core goal of the CM Jibon Prerana Scheme is to empower the youth of Assam and foster a self-reliant generation. The specific objectives include:

  • Encouraging Competitive Exams: Allowing graduates to dedicate time to preparing for crucial competitive examinations without immediate income pressure.

Eligibility Criteria for CM Jibon Prerana Financial Assistance

Applicants must meet the following mandatory conditions to qualify for the ₹2,500 monthly financial aid:

1. Residency & Educational Qualification

  • Residency: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
  • Educational Status: Must be a fresh graduate (2025 pass-out only).
  • Institution: Must have graduated from a Govt./Public institution (state or central government) located in Assam.

2. Employment Status & Exclusions

  • Unemployment: The applicant must be currently unemployed.
  • Ineligible Categories (Exclusions):
  • Children of Ministers and MLAs.
  • Children of parents earning over ₹10 lakh annually.
  • Children of government registered contractors.
  • Children of government employees (excluding children of Class IV employees, who are eligible).
  • Graduates from open universities and private institutions.


How to Apply Online for CM Jibon Prerana Scheme

All eligible candidates must submit their application online through the official Digital Infrastructure for DBT Scheme (DIDS) portal. Follow the steps below for a smooth application process:

Step 1: One-Time Registration (OTR)

  • Visit the official Digital Infrastructure for DBT Scheme (DIDS) portal.
  • Look for the "One-Time Registration" link and click it.
  • Fill in your personal and contact details as required by the portal to register yourself.

Step 2: Filling the Online Application Form

  • After successful registration, log in using your registered credentials (if required, use the "Online Application Form" link).
  • Access the official CM Jibon Prerana Scheme application form.
  • Enter all necessary credentials, educational details, and bank account information.
  • Upload the required documents (e.g., proof of residency, 2025 graduation certificate, unemployment declaration).
