NHM Assam: Assam’s National Health Mission (NHM) is seeking 882 dedicated Community Health Officers (CHOs) on a contractual basis—an outstanding opportunity for nursing graduates who are passionate about public health and community service.
Eligibility & Educational Requirements
Qualifications Required:
- B.Sc Nursing or Post‑Basic B.Sc Nursing with Integrated Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH), or B.Sc in Community Health.
- Must be from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and Assam Nurses Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council.
- Must hold RN/RM (Registered Nurse Midwife) registration in Assam.
- A certificate from the principal confirming completion of the integrated Community Health course (Appendix I) is mandatory
Age Limit & Relaxation
As of January 1, 2025:
- General (UR): Up to 40 years
- OBC/MOBC: Up to 43 years (+3 years)
- SC/ST (P or H): Up to 45 years (+5 years)
- PWD: Up to 50 years (+10 years)
Salary & Incentives
Base salary: ₹27,500 per month
Performance-based incentive: Up to ₹15,000 monthly
Total potential earning: ₹42,500/month under top performance
