Educational Qualification for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026
Technician Grade I Signal
Candidates should possess:
- B.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation, or
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline.
Technician Grade III
Candidates should have:
- 10th Pass (Matriculation), and
- ITI certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT, or
- Completed Act Apprenticeship in the related trade.
Age Limit
Technician Grade I Signal
- 18 to 36 years
Technician Grade III
- 18 to 33 years
Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen will be provided as per Government of India rules.
Salary Details
- Technician Grade I Signal: Pay Level 5 – Initial Basic Pay ₹29,200 per month
- Technician Grade III: Pay Level 2 – Initial Basic Pay ₹19,900 per month
In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will receive DA, HRA, TA, and other Railway allowances.
