1. Assistant Registrar

Pay Scale: Level 10 (as per 7th CPC)
Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale.
Desirable Experience: Candidates should preferably have 5 years of relevant administrative experience in educational administration, research establishments, or other institutions of higher education in a supervisory capacity (Group B post at Pay Level 8 or above).
Age Limit: Upto 35 years (Relaxations applicable as per Govt. of India rules. No upper age limit for regular IIT Guwahati employees).

2. Junior Assistant

No. of Posts: 17 (UR: 4, SC: 1, ST: 2, OBC-NCL: 6, EWS: 4)
Pay Scale: Level 3 (as per 7th CPC)
Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) with essential knowledge of computer office applications.
